Fast-rising Tanzanian rapper Nyabingi Daicon Unique teams up with Bongo Flava heavyweight Rayvanny on “Mbeya,” a hometown anthem for the Green City.
Nyabingi built his name through raw freestyle bars and clever punchlines, going viral with his line “Sio tu kukinukisha, hata mimi nanuka.” That underground Hip Hop energy carries straight into “Mbeya,” where he references different parts of the city while representing its streets and culture through sharp, hard-hitting delivery.
Bringing Rayvanny onto the record adds serious weight. Both artists hail from Mbeya, and Rayvanny, born and raised in Nzovwe, remains the most successful Bongo Flava export the region has ever produced. Also, his experience and melodic touch balance out Nyabingi’s rawer rap approach, giving “Mbeya” a two-generation feel rather than a standard feature verse.
The production blends Bongo Flava melody with fast rapping to keep the energy flowing through. Eris Mzava directs the official visuals, leaning into performances that reflect the spirit of Mbeya itself. Released through Next Level Music, the label Rayvanny founded and runs as CEO, “Mbeya” carries real regional pride from two artists who genuinely represent where they’re from.
