Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, is a Nigerian musician who has been nominated for the BET Awards in 2021.

Nominations for the 2021 awards were announced on the organizers’ official Twitter account.

The singer was nominated for the Best New Foreign Act award among other international performers.

“This year’s Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act Nominees are arloparks (UK), BramsitoB7 (France), breerunway (UK), Elaine (SA),mcdricka13 (Brazil),ronisia MDS (France), and temsbaby (France) (Nigeria).

Tems makes her Billboard Hot 100 debut with Wizkid’s “Essence.”

Wizkid and Burna Boy, two well-known Nigerian musicians, have also been nominated for the 2021 Bet Awards.

Recall that award-winning singers Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, and Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, were nominated for best “International Act” among several other international musicians.
