Nigeria’s federal government has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has reached out to Twitter management to discuss the Twitter ban.
Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, said that the meeting took place at the presidential estate in Abuja, where they shared their experiences with the ban on Twitter.
According to The Cable, he stated that the social media platform restriction will be lifted once the company is registered as a business in Nigeria.
Other sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp, should also register if they wish to reach Nigeria properly.
