CHANGE OF NAME: Nigerian singer formally known as Buju has changed his name to Benson written as ‘BNXN’

Nigerian singer and Songwriter Daniel Benson, who was professionally known as Buju, has officially changed his stage name to BNXN.

Buju was formerly under Burna Boy before he decided to stay on his own claiming that he wants to achieve something on his own.

He has featured many Nigerian artistes such as Wizkid, Burna Boy among others

BNXN revealed this Twitter page, where he noted that his new name would be pronounced as ‘Benson’.

According to his announcement video on Thursday night, the name change became necessary after the singer was mistaken for another Jamaican singer known as Buju Banton.

In the video he posted, he announced that he wished to be addressed as Benson written as ‘BNXN’ by saying…

“It’s no longer “Buju”

Call me “Benson” written as ‘BNXN'”
