Nigerian politicians, President Muhammadu Buhari and former president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar have hailed veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs on his 80th birthday.
The aged Thespian who celebrated his 80th birthday party on Sunday officially clocked 80 on Monday 11th of July, TrendyHipHop reported.

Buhari and Atiku have joined Nollywood stars to celebrate the Nollywood legend on his birthday anniversary.
President Buhari’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, titled ‘President Buhari joins Nollywood in celebrating Olu Jacobs at 80.’
According to the statement, Adesina wrote:
“The President felicitates with the Jacobs’ family, including the wife, also a renowned thespian, Joke Silva, and their friends on the auspicious occasion, which calls for thanksgiving for God’s care, guidance, and protection.
President Buhari affirms the influence of the veteran actor on the film industry, setting a standard of professionalism that has attracted global recognition and awards, like the Lifetime Achievement Award conferred on him in 2016 by African Movie Academy Awards.”
PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar Also took to his verified Twitter handle and wrote an adorable birthday message to the actor.
In his tweet, the former vice president of Nigeria wrote:
“Today, I celebrate a freshly minted Octogenarian, Sir Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs (Olu Jacobs). You have seen the world change tremendously and imparted it in your stead. You have been an inspiration to many, a highly respected and honorable person.
A living legend and an exemplary citizen. Congratulations on eight decades of life! -AA”
