Rihanna, a popular artist from the United States, has contributed a new song to the Wakanda Forever soundtrack called “Lift Me Up.”
Rihanna has made the “Lift Me Up” single, which is her first brand new single as a lead artist since 2016, officially public. It is scheduled to make an appearance on the soundtrack of the upcoming Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Together with Tems, producer Ludwig Goransson, and director Ryan Coogler, Rihanna contributed to the writing of the song “Lift Me Up.” The artists reportedly wrote the tune “as a homage to the incredible life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman,” which was said in a press release. Chadwick Boseman was the hero of the first Black Panther movie and passed away in the year 2020 at the age of 43.
In a statement to the press, Tems said, “After speaking with Ryan and hearing his vision for the film and the song, I wanted to compose something that conveys a loving embrace from all of the individuals that I’ve lost in my life.” [Citation needed] I tried to picture how it would be if I could sing to them right now and let them know how much I miss them. She continued, saying that “hearing Rihanna transmit this song is a huge honor for me because she has been an inspiration to me.”
