Indian singer, actor, film producer, and TV host Diljit Dosanjh’s new single is titled “Jugni,” and it has been released.

The artist enlisted the help of Tanzanian musician and WCB Wasafi head Diamond Platnumz for this project.

In addition, Punjabi folk music has used the narrative device of “Jugni” for decades. The music of the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent has been passed down orally from one generation to the next.

It represents the poet or writer in traditional folk music, who uses the naive “Jugni” as a source of insightful, often humorous, occasionally sorrowful, but always affecting observations.
