During the recording of this song, she cooperated with Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, better known by his stage name Cardi B, who contributed some remarkable flows to the track.

It was just a few minutes before the song’s official release when Normani went live on Instagram and disclosed that Cardi B was not initially included on “Wild Side.” Normani wanted to collaborate with Cardi B on any song for her impending debut album, despite the fact that she was not included at the time.
