Hilda Baci Guinness World Record: ‘Cookathon’ explained, watch live – See What Lata Tandon said

The individual who holds the record for the “longest cooking marathon” is Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known by her stage name, Hilda Baci. The Nigerian cook began her attempt to break the record, which had stood for the previous four years, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, and continued until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15. The event was broadcast live from the Amore Garden in Lagos, Nigeria.

The previous record was held by Lata Tondon, who accomplished this feat by preparing meals from Rewa, India, for 87 hours and 45 minutes. It has been in place since September 7, 2019.

Tondon was one of several celebrities, stars, and chefs that went out of their way to wish Baci well on her cookathon. Tandon posted the following message on Instagram: “All the best, Hilda. We look forward to welcoming you to the official Guinness Book of World Records website soon!

Baci’s initial objective was to break the 87 hours and 45-minute record previously held by Lata Tandon, which she accomplished at approximately 7:46 in the morning on Monday. However, she did not want to stop there and is now working at breaking the Guinness World Record by attempting to cook for more than 96 hours straight.
