The talented young Nigerian singer departed the YBNL Nation record company in May 2019 after a dispute with the label’s CEO, the renowned Nigerian rapper Olamide.
In 2020, Lyta became a member of Naira Marley’s Marlian Records. The first song from his label, “Hold Me Down (Omo Gidi),” was also released.
The “Hold Me Down” music video was created by TG Omori and was inspired by the music videos of Korean boy bands GOT7 and BTS.
Lyta (real name: Babatunde Rahim) is a dynamic musical phenomenon among the top artists in Nigeria. His songs are used as examples of the genre’s power and excitement.
