Canadian singer, composer, and performer Michelle Oluwatomi Akanbi, professionally known by her stage name Töme, is of Nigerian and French descent.

Töme’s track “I Pray,” which features the American-Jamaican singer-rapper Sean Kingston, took up the top prize at the 2021 Juno Awards for her outstanding performances.
