Tanzanian hip-hop heavyweight Stamina Shorwebwenzi teams up with Rumba and Bongo Flava veteran Christian Bella on “Bado,” released September 16, 2026, from his newly unveiled “The Black Belt” EP.
That word choice carries history. Back in November 2024, Stamina released “Bado Nipo” alongside Jay Rox and Belle 9. Returning to “Bado” as a standalone title two years later shows the phrase means something specific to him, a word he keeps circling back to rather than a one-time pick.
Directed by Eddy, the official video accompanies a record built around a relationship that survives gossip, outside interference, and people expecting it to fail.
Musically, the track expands past traditional hardcore hip-hop. Stamina’s sharp street lyricism meets Christian Bella’s rich Rumba-influenced vocals, creating real contrast between street energy and romantic melody. Ahead of its digital release, the song was introduced to fans and industry stakeholders during a listening event hosted by 92.5 Mjini FM in Dodoma.
